The Season of Lent is Here!
Lent is the preparation, prayer and fasting time of the
Christian calendar that begins with Ash Wednesday and ends
40 days later, not including Sundays, in celebration of Easter
Sunday. Holy Week is the last 7 days of Lent that begins
with Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday
and the week progresses from celebration to mourning
through the culmination of Jesus’ arrest, trial, cruxifixion,
death and Resurrection from the dead. The celebration of
Christ’s Resurrection is the reason for Easter Sunday.
